What makes a useful personal palette comparison?
Would a simple comparison station help visitors see how scarf colors affect a portrait? I help with a library portrait event where visitors can choose a scarf for their photograph. The activity should stay relaxed, and nobody should feel obliged to accept a particular palette label. One idea is to compare softer and brighter scarves against the same background without changing the camera setup. I am unsure how to discuss the differences while respecting a visitor who simply likes a particular shade. Perhaps visitors could describe what they notice around the face before anyone mentions a season or undertone. The starting point for my reading has been personal color analysis but I would welcome advice from people who have run similar informal activities with mixed age groups. Which questions would you put on a short feedback card, and which claims would you avoid making altogether?
