Comparing bob silhouettes for a stage wig

Сообщение LucasTon »

Our theatre group is choosing a wig for a small production. The character wears a jacket with a high collar, and the hair needs to read clearly from the back rows without catching on the fabric. We are comparing two bob shapes before making any cuts. One ends near the jaw and the other sits lower. I was looking for clearer terms and came across bob haircut lengths while trying to describe the silhouettes consistently. There is also a quick change that involves plenty of movement. A static headshot will not settle the decision. We could photograph both versions from the audience area. I would use the same lighting for both comparisons. We have only a small costume budget, so I would prefer a reversible test using pins before committing to scissors. The wig also needs to look consistent when the actor sits down. What would you check before trimming an otherwise usable wig?
